CFRP Lightweight Differential Cylinders

"Increased performance due to Weight Reduction."

PRODUCT DATASHEET
As an example, the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) on L&S lightweight cylinders leads to a reduction in weight of more than 50%, compared to their steel counterparts.

Mobile Hydraulics: Further Reach

As a rule, the L&S lightweight cylinders made from CFRP and high performance lightweight alloys, weigh less than 50% of the weight of ordinary steel cylinders. An enormous advant-
age is realized particularly with mobile applications as well as during manual handling, since by using ultra-light CFRP cylinders the drive-lateral structure weight is reduced and so
heavy lifting equipment for the assembly is not necessary. Through the use of this world wide lightest high-performance hydraulic cylinder, for example,
on a concrete pump, a large extension of the distributor
booms (lever packages) can be
achieved, without exceeding the allowed axle load or the total weight of the vehicle. The application of CFRP cylinders in platforms lift leads directly to increased pay loads or reach, this also applies to mobile cranes and excavator vehicles.

The manufacturing of the cylinders themselves and all components takes place directly in our workshops. For the production of CFRP components we have all the necessary tools and machines.

The advantages of the CFRP Cylinders are used often:
Aviation
Automobile Industry
Heavy Vehicle Industry
Robotics and Automation Systems
Construction and Foundation Engineering
Military Technology
...
Aerospace: Increase payload

Light, compact, ultra-high pressure capability, custom-designed, corrosion resistant, ...

High performance materials like carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) possess extremely high strength and stiffness.

Using these properties selectively and as required, permits the manufacture of heavy-duty lightweight constructions for many different applications.

Actuation: Increased Dynamic performance
